Getting rid of acne can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be impossible. If you learn how to minimize pores on the face and nose, you will have a natural-looking complexion that is less noticeable than when you have pimples all over your face and body. There are many skincare products on the market, but there are also easy ways to minimize pores on the face and nose.
Many people have their noses and mouth exposed to excessive sun without wearing any type of facial sunscreen. The harsh sun rays on our faces and noses can cause deep lines and wrinkles and minimize pores that appear on the surface as well as the interior surface of the skin. When you wear facial sunscreen, you only minimize pores that appear on the face. That’s not helpful!
One of the easiest, natural ways to minimize pores is by using essential oils. Essential oils are concentrated plant fragrances that are normally used for aromatherapy. Essential oils work by cleaning the pores, shrinking the pore, and rejuvenating the skin by penetrating the follicle wall and lifting trapped dirt and oil beneath the surface. While you can’t shrink the size of your pores, you certainly can take measures to dramatically minimize the appearance of pimples.
A great way to minimize pores and keep the skin hydrated is by drinking lots of water. Water helps keep the skin hydrated, moisturized, and elastic, which is exactly what you need to minimize pores. Of course drinking lots of water is a great way to lose weight, so why not use that as an excuse to skip the oily diet and heavy cleansing regimen?
Check the labels of many skincare products for parabens and other harmful ingredients. These are used as preservatives and “essences,” which are similar to vitamins but stronger. They block pores and cause inflammation, but because they are man-made, they are not natural. Parabens are man-made chemicals, often used as a preservative, which have been linked to cancers. That’s why it is important to read the ingredients list on any product you’re buying.
Watch out for fragrances that mimic their natural counterparts. The scent of your favourite perfume may be making your face and legs smell like a bakery or a spa, but they are synthetic chemicals that clog the pores and irritate the skin. Instead, choose all-natural fragrances that are designed for sensitive, irritated skin. Or, if you want to indulge in the smell of flowers or pleasant scents, choose one with botanical ingredients and no alcohol. In addition to keeping your face and legs fresh and clean, you’ll find yourself smelling good all day long.
Exfoliate regularly, especially after you wash your face. Using an exfoliating pad or loofah will keep the surface of your skin clean and minimize pores and skin debris buildup. You’ll also find that the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are less noticeable. By taking care of your face and making sure that it is moisturized and protected from bacteria, toxins and other harmful elements, you’ll be able to minimize pores and fine lines, too.
Finally, use a good quality face steamer to minimize pores and maximize your health. A good quality steam room has three different settings to choose from: hot, medium and cold. Use the steam room as often as needed or until your skin feels tight and comfortable. Start at a low heat and work up as you feel more comfortable. Your face will thank you.
